This package of files contains the information needed to work with the packet file formats used by WildPackets software. Currently two packet file formats are used, a tagged file format and a classic file format.
The tagged file format is used by AiroPeek 2.0 and later, AiroPeek NX 2.0 and later, EtherPeek 6.0 and later, EtherPeek NX 3.0 and later, EtherPeek VX 1.0 and later, GigaPeek NX 1.0 and later, Omni3 1.0 and later (both OmniPeek and the Remote Engine), WANPeek NX 1.0 and later, and future WildPackets products. Older versions of AiroPeek, AiroPeek NX, EtherPeek, and EtherPeek NX use the classic packet file format.
Included here is the source code for a simple command line program that illustrates how to read and process packets in a packet file. The sample code is written in C++ and is accompanied by a project file for Microsoft Visual Studio.NET.
